Pianist Bill Payne Live on The Hear and NowPianist Bill Payne, best known as co-founder, keyboardist, and songwriter for the legendary band Little Feat (whose new album is Rooster Rag), visits KPFA before his Saturday shows at Yoshi's in Oakland (with Gabe Ford on drums and guest guitarist Robben Ford). Payne has released only two solo albums, but he has played with Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, J.J. Cale, Robert Palmer, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Phil Lesh, and many others, and he'll have songs to sing, a piano to play, and many stories to tell.
