Thanks. I have a copy of Rebel Voices that was published in 1964. It is an important book in my library. This history should be better known and studied. There were many ordinary people who were involved in this movement and they are largely forgotten. Recently there has been renewed interest in this movement. Last October I attended a commemoration of a strike in Little Falls, NY conducted in 1912 by textile workers, largely women, most of them foreign-born. The strike was led by wobblies, and one of them was my grandmother (an "outside agitator" sent by the IWW national office). My grandfather was arrested and spent more than a year in jail. I was impressed that the current residents of the city were remembering their labor history, and searching for people whose relatives had been involved.
