I like Richard Wolff. He said something about how those of us who are making it in this economy have to help those who are not - and it depletes everyone's earning capacity. This is so true. My husband and I are doing fine, but family members are not (due to job loss, illness, disability) and because their is no social safety net, we, while happily helping them out, find our own incomes lessening.
This is one of the best and most useful and educational shows that I have ever heard on KPFA in 30 years of listening. I greatly appreciate the ways that Richard simplifies his subject matter and explains it in understandable ways. I learned a lot from this show and learn a lot from all of his shows.
Disappointing. Wolff is heavyhanded and he patronizes his audience. He is no substitute for Doug Henwood. Henwood has an interesting mind; Wolff does not.
Sad, no Doug this week :(
I like listening to Richard Wolff. Play him more often.
His show is on every saturday on wbai.
