Women's Magazine: Fund Drive Special - History of ACT UP

We listen to part of the extraordinary documentary United in Anger, which tells the story of of the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP). Producer and author Sarah Schulman calls ACT UP the last successful social movement in U.S. history. The filmmakers, both AIDS activists themselves, conducted hundreds of interviews with AIDS activists and distilled over 1000 hours of archival footage to produce this front-line account by the people who made it happen. We'll also be talking to Schulman in this once-only fund drive special.
