Thanks for a stirring conversation with Norman Soloman about the corporate capitalist domination of the internet -- as with media of all kinds, a subject that has weighed heavily on my own sense of freedom as Google and Facebook have just ramped up undemocratic and arbitrary "innovations" to better facilitate collection of our personal data to attract advertisers and enable targeting us for marketing and profit. And thank you so much, Kris, for not focusing on gay marriage (like almost every other progressive show the past week). I'm so tired of hearing about almost nothing else and consider it a weapon of mass distraction. I'm all for gay rights, but marriage is just a bourgeois institution that reinforces control of church and state. Thanks for a great show that addressed issues we all need to be focused on to resist the brainwashing and inundation of the dominant message persuading the masses that freedom to buy stuff is democracy.
Thanks for your wonderful shows, Kris. I love the gratitude you always express at the beginning of Saturday Morning Talkies-- gratitude for the gospel music.
Hatred is unnatural, I would say.
Thanks for the beautiful poem at the end of the program!
