I'd have to say the opposite.

I'd have to say the opposite. This seems like another example of Upfront staging a deceptive debate on a bit of a straw man issue. There's not a green case for nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is an environmental catastrophe and Fukishima has poisoned the Pacific Ocean for the forseeable future. Accordingly this is a distraction-type conversation marked by a kind've pointless debate "victory" over someone spewing transparent nonsense. What we're being distracted from is a serious look at energy needs in an era of with catastrophic climate change on the horizon and green energy (the real kind, not the fake kind) largely being blocked by political and economic greed. Can't talk about that when we're batting away straw men like the environmental benefits of nuclear energy. Try to frame things in a more genuine manner next time.

Brian- Thanks so much for

Brian- Thanks so much for staying on The Breakthrough Institute guy on the nuclear waste issue. He was so obviously evasive and it is great to see a host stay on top of some attempt at media savvy weasel talk. In the end his answer was totally bizarre seemingly admitting that even if waste is not able to be turned to fuel in the future he would support it, but then babbling his way from that answer and again segueing into something unrelated. I do really admire your ability to identify what seems like obvious rational questions which so often go un-asked, and your tenacity in getting clear answers to such questions
