Dennis, Please tell your

Dennis,

Please tell your guest from Arizona that he/they have friends and allies, but not enough. I'm quite sure that I'm in the minority with my views on immigration.

It seems to me that NAFTA is a major cause of and/or opened the floodgate to off-shoring of our jobs while simultaneously crushing small and medium sized businesses and farms in Mexico. May I also suggest that allowing the 11-15 million undocumented persons living withing our borders to become normalized citizens is a blessing in disguise. Think about how West Germany successfully integrated the East after the Berlin Wall came down. They are now the undisputed economic power of Europe. This can be our future. No other nation in the world has this potential, except the United States. There are differences to overcome, such as language and culture. However; we are almost there on culture anyway. I would prefer to live in society that is multilingual as apposed to living in the United States where large numbers of citizens are unable to speak or write standard English!

For those who think that these potential new citizens might drive down wages, well the way to deal with the wage issue is raise the minimum wage rate to $12-16 an hour and not exclude anyone or group of workers.

Lastly, may I suggest that one demand be a halt to these vicious expulsions of undocumented residents unless some felony is proved in court. And yes, once we normalize citizenship status for these residents their families should be allowed to bring back members who were deported unjustly.

Thank you.
