Thank you so much for the

Thank you so much for the tribute to Bobby Bland. When I finally got an IPod, the first music I recorded was Bobby Bland's Duke sessions. I remember one time when you (Tom Mazzolini) paused after playing one of his tunes, and you just said, "He could sing the phone book." Exactly. I last saw him live at Kimball's East, a long time ago. By then, he had incorporated his trademark snort into every tune. Whatever, he was one of a kind, and I was so impressed by your tribute. The interview and the way his music was incorporated--I never knew he held Tony Bennett or Perry Como in such high regard, but now I can see it--made it more than nostalgia. It was thoughtful, insightful and helped me appreciate Bobby Bland even more. As someone who used to spend his lunch hour listening to Blue Monday, and who went to the Blues Festival when it was at McLaren Park and who marched along side you--literally--when people took to the streets to fight Mary Frances Berry's attempt at a takeover, I am one of the many beneficiaries of your dedication to the blues. Thank you again.
