Those who claim to be "...as anti-Zionist as they come.." are really those who wish to stifle any reference to Israel that they deem negative. They are crypto-Zionists who want to control all media. The Amiri Baraka poem played by Davey D before Barbara Lee contained some really ignorant and offensive lines, particularly the one about 4000 Israelis being warned to stay away from the World Trade Towers on 9/11. This kind of idiocy, when not openly critiqued, perpetuates backwards racist thinking that should be condemned on kpfa most of all. Now I am about as anti-Zionist as they come, but I know the logic of this kind of conspiracy garbage comes at the price of not a thoughtful critique of the state of Israel and its illegal and immoral behavior, but against Jews in general.
