Cowgirl Heather Hafleigh hosts her nearly-yearly special on the national Elko (Nevada) Cowboy Poetry Gathering (30th annual is Jan. 27-Feb 1, 2014) with an array of recordings by the great cowboy singers and poets who have performed at the Gathering, from Ian Tyson to Wylie & the Wild West, and even some Dead-oriented fare.

Fabulous show representing the depth and breadth of this important genre. Thank you KPFA and Heather Hafleigh for this excellent show. I just wish it were available longer than two weeks.
