If you spent half the time

If you spent half the time you spent looking for "le mot juste" in the form of folk music to underscore you stories on reporting you might have a news show. In regard to your story on NYPD spying you failed to mention that "The United States Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations report said:

Despite reviewing 13 months' worth of reporting originating from fusion centers from April 1, 2009 to April 30, 2010, the Subcommittee investigation could identify no reporting which uncovered a terrorist threat, nor could it identify a contribution such fusion center reporting made to disrupt an active terrorist plot." (Wiki) Also, you just can't mention the NYPD without recapitulating that they are the NYPD of Knapp Commission fame.
