The emergency broadcast test

The emergency broadcast test lasted for maybe thirty seconds. I don't think it is any big deal. I am just thankful to have internet and an old, half working pc. Just the access to audio over the internet is priceless. I would be in the depths of depression if not for kpfa and other alternatives to corporate mainstream bs. And I thought the guy's voice in the announcement was rather nostalgic. be thankful for what we got....dahszil, male, usa

The Monthly EAN test begins

The Monthly EAN test begins at 50:59 and ends at 51:34. I agree with the previous comment, the recording made available of this program clearly comes from a point down-stream of the EAN encoder. That location is fine for making "Air Checks" because it can be used to verifiy what actually went out over the air, but when a program is "archived" there is no need for those of us in the time delayed audience to listen to the "Cordinated Monthly Test of the Emergency Alert System" broadcast instead of about a minute and a half of the desired program.

Please, can the emergency

Please, can the emergency broadcast test screech be replaced with content, before archiving these things?

take the recording off earlier in the signal chain?
