Mirkirimi lies!!! I work in

Mirkirimi lies!!! I work in the SF county jails, and CJ#2 on 7th St. is MOSTLY a women's facility, but on the 3rd floor they house men and there are plenty of empty beds. Apod at cj2 is nearly empty right now, and I'm sure they could make more space for men. There is NO NEED to spend $ on new jails!!! and cj3 (the old jail at 850 Bryant) is already closed. We need more programs to keep people out of jail.

Listening to your well

Listening to your well presented program reminded me of an article in the NYT about solar panels on the California Aqueduct to reduce evaporation and generate power to pump the water which uses a significant amount of our electricity. http://green.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/04/20/could-the-california-aqueduct-...
Unfortunately there are no numbers on water savings or return on investment and only vague numbers on power. It would be nice to have those numbers to illuminate any discussion. In India, where they similar water problems, they are already building such systems.
