The Human Rights Center at the UC Berkeley School of Law hosts the 2013 UC
Human Rights Fellowship Conference on Friday, Nov. 8, 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
at the International House on the UC Berkeley campus. The event is open to
The conference will feature presentations from 17 Human Rights Fellows
from six University of California campuses. They will share their
experiences working for human rights in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Haiti,
Malaysia, Mexico, Uganda, and throughout the United States, discussing
issues that cover everything from land rights, to immigrant rights, to the
plight of torture survivors.
Stephen Smith Cody, director of the Atrocity Response Program at the Human
Rights Center, will speak about interviewing survivors of atrocities in
Uganda who will participate in war crimes trials.
