The 15th Annual Berkeley World Music Festival begins on Friday,
June 1 with a kickoff party at La Pena Cultural Center. The festivities start at 8pm at 3105 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley.
On Saturday, June 2, music happens at a number of Telegraph Avenue venues, from noon-8pm. Artists include: The Deep Basement Shakers, Fula Brothers & the Harlan James Bluegrass Band.
The Amoeba Music concert begins at 1pm on June 2 at People’s Park. Featured artists are: Yassir Chadly & The Moroccans, Fanna-Fi-Allah, La Gente and DanceVersity.
The nightcap happens at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, starting at 8pm.
On Sunday, June 3, Telegraph Avenue will feature Bay Area Timba All Stars, China’s Spirit Music Ensemble & more, starting at noon. The Dance Party Finale takes place from 6-8pm, at Tap Haus, 2516 Durant Avenue, featuring Dginn.
