The Healdsburg Jazz Festival 2014 takes place from Friday, May 30th through Sunday, June 8 at various venues around Healdsburg.
Features a 2 day celebration of the Blues plus eight days of world class Jazz.
The 2 Day celebration of the Blues feature Blues harmonica legend Charlie Musselwhite in four concerts over two days with guest artists such as Elvin Bishop and Guy Davis and Continental Drifter Revisited, a Blues and Afro Cuban jazz collaboration with John Santos y Sus Soneros on Sat., June 1st
Jazz Meets Blues with tenor sax virtuoso Joshua Redman joining Musslewhite for two sets... one jazz and one blues on Sunday, June 2nd.
Both shows take place at the Jackson Theater, 4400 Day School Place in Santa Rosa.
The festival also features Marc Cary's Tribute to Abbey Lincoln, The Ron Carter Quartet, Bill Charlap and Renee Rosnes Duo with Bobby Hutcherson, Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band, Claudia Villela Trio, Mads Tolling tribute to Jean Luc Ponty, Student workshop with Charles Lloyd and Zakir Hussain, Marcus Shelby & the HJF Freedom Jazz Choir, Groovemasters with Rhonda Benin, Carlitos Medrano, Benny Barth, Mission Gold Jazz Band, Walter Savage and more!
