In 1997, tragedy struck Miko Peled’s Israeli-American family, when his beloved niece was killed by a suicide bomber in Jerusalem—pushing him to re-examine many beliefs he grew up with, ultimately motivating him to struggle for equality for all the residents of Palestine and Israel.
