Jonathan Kozol is the National Book Award-winning author of Savage Inequalities,

This special event offers gratitude and deep respect to all public school teachers and workers. Anthony Cody, event host, has taught science and math at Bret Harte Middle School in Oakland for eighteen years, has written numerous articles on teacher leadership and education policy, and has done many presentations around the US and the world. Also speaking will be Cathy Campbell (President of Berkeley Federation of Teachers) and Trish Gorham (President of Oakland Education Association).
