The public memorial for Doug Edwards will be held on Sunday, November 21st from 2pm til 6pm in the performing area in the club at Kimball's Carnival located at 522 2nd Street in Oakland, Ca. near Jack London Square...the cross street is Washington St. There will be live music provided by Bay Area musicians celebrating the memory of Doug Edwards. Ken Pruitt from KPFA will perform with his band "Mekesmo". Bay Area jazz greats that are scheduled to perform are Calvin Keys, Joyce Randolph, Professor Bill Bell, Yancie Taylor, Faye Carol and others to be announced. There will be a 20. dollar minimum donation for Doug's family.
