The first half of Sing Out gives a nod to the deaths of two underrated greats of rock: Bob Bogle, founder and original lead guitarist of instrumental rock band the Ventures; and Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section keyboardist Barry Beckett, who played with and produced a who's who of rock/soul over the last four decades, from Aretha Franklin to Bob Dylan, Traffic and Kenny Chesney.
