This show was prerecorded earlier in the week as I was on the road in New Mexico when it aired working on recording a piece with Grammy Nominee, Rahim Alhaj, for a new Double CD of collaborative recordings featuring Rahim on oud in tandem with a multitude of extraordinary musicians to benefit Doctors Without Borders. Thus, today's Music of the World is not the program that it would have been had it gone out live and in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake.
