Concluding its Black History Month programming, Sing Out devotes tonight’s show to African American record producer Tom Wilson, who produced some of the Sixties’ most important recordings, including Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone,” Pete Seeger’s “God Bless the Grass,” Simon & Garfunkel’s “Sounds of Silence,” the debut albums by the Blues Project, the Velvet Underground, Nico (“Chelsea Girl”), Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention (“Freak Out”). To say nothing of issuing Sun Ra's first LP, recording a one-time meeting of John Coltrane and Cecil Taylor, and so much more.
