Back to the Roots. This morning's program starts with the piece I consider my "theme" music, though I only ever play it occasionally - Ivory trumpets from Uganda, the land where I spent my formative years and whose current pronouncements on homosexuality are so unpleasant. Then we continue through a pathway of, mainly, acoustic and ceremonial music, largely played and recorded outside. Enjoy the archive at KPFA.org until Thur Feb 10th!
