Three decades ago the US pulled out of South East Asia after fighting a war that left the land in a state of devastation and sent people in flight out of desperation. Apex talks with Laotian, Vietnamese, and Cambodian Americans about what’s been the aftermath of the war on their communities in the US. Has the war left wounds that remain un-healed? Since the war’s end, what have been the major challenges facing South East Asian communities in America? And how long will the term refugee be used to describe the varied South East Asian American experience?
