Not Just Another Year: California’s Budget Cuts

Overcome by California budget ennui?  Many Californians don’t have that option or that emotional fatigue:  A kid who thinks the third grade will be the ‘best year ever!’  A accident survivor hanging on to a life outside of a nursing home.  And hundreds of thousands of others.

On Friday, May 30, at 2:30 pm, Pushing Limits hosts, Leah Gardner and Eddie Ytuarte, talk to Marty Omoto about the current state budget crisis.  Omoto, of the California Disability Community Action Network (CDCAN), sends 40,000 people regular e-mail reports and coordinates telephone town halls where Sacramento big wigs are grilled by hundreds of people with disabilities and local advocates.

It looks like a long hot Sacramento summer.  Listen, be prepared, stay active!
