Making Contact – No ‘Fracking’ Way: The Perils of Natural Gas Drilling (ENCORE)

We’ll hear excerpts from the Oscar-nominated movie Gasland, including stories from residents who say their drinking water catches on fire—one of the toxic affects of hydraulic-fracking a natural gas drilling method that uses hundreds of chemicals.  While the BP oil spill has increased calls to use natural gas as a so-called ‘clean energy’ alternative, activists are sounding the alarm bell about this controversial technique.Special Thanks to Josh Fox, the producer of “Gasland”, and to Alton Byrd and Rachel Zurer for helping to produce this show.
