I left San Leandro 6 years ago. I listened to the Maggot every Friday even when I had to work nights. Now got the show blasting from work in San Antonio Texas.

This is my absolute favorite show on kpfa! Thanks to this program I've been introduced to many many numerous funk artists which led me to become a fanatic collector of such music. Just gotta love the funk, ooh-yeah :) Check out musical tones of Freddy for anyone who wants to explore more sweet tunes.
Glad to see someone is keepin' The Funk Alive!
I was dancin' in discos when I was 9 and never forget
the power of the funk~
Great Great show! Takes me back to shows in the 70's and 80's where George would just kill it for hours on end. Thanks so much for brining it back! 'we gonna funk it up....'
"Hey- Who decided to play a bunch of my favorite songs?", I thought when I heard KPFA tonight (via internet stream). Some are obscure, but you know them!
