ANNOUNCING KPFA LOCAL STATION BOARD WORKSHOP
TO GATHER INPUT FROM INTERESTED PARTIES
FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE 2012 KPFA BUDGET
Saturday April 30, 2011, 1 to 4 p.m.
South Berkeley Public Library

There will be a brief report on the state of KPFA finances at the midpoint of the current fiscal year. Lists will be posted of suggestions submitted from station Department Heads and Managers for needed changes in budgeted items for next year.
All interested parties are invited to submit their personal priorities for what KPFA funds should be spent on. There will be an opportunity to speak at the meeting or turn in a list of priorities, and all suggestions will be recorded. (For those not able to attend the workshop, priorities may be sent by email to either the station Business Manager, Maria Negret, mariabiz [at] kpfa.org, or to the LSB Treasurer, Barbara Whipperman, treasurer.kpfalsb [at] gmail.com.)
Helpers are needed for tasks during the conduct of this meeting. To attend/help, please RSVP to email@example.com. Folks are needed for the following tasks:
Recorder - to enter responses on newsprint display sheets (big pad on an easel).
2 people needed, (who are good printers *), will work as a team, spell each other with writing and hanging sheets around the room for display,
Note Taker - to record the same information as on the large lists (but in the form of meeting notes) for the three categories of expenses used in budget and financial reporting documents, i.e. Administrative expenses, Program expenses, Development expenses. (These meeting notes will be used by those with the responsibility for the actual preparation of the budget - the Business Manager, the LSB Treasurer, and the station General Manager.)
3 people needed.
Set up/take down chairs and (very few) tables.
2 to 6 people needed.
Set up/take down sound system - 2 or 3 mics.
How many people does it take to set up a sound system?
This notice is being sent to all LSB members, all station staff (paid and unpaid), volunteers, and the Community Advisory Board, and may be forwarded to others by any recipients.
