Playlist: Early Morning Music Thursdays for September 10, 2009 - 5:00am

With Bonnie Bone and Special Co-Host Fernando (Fena) Torres.

We commemorate September 11th, 1973 with Special Musical Co-Host: musician, cultural and political activist, staff member of La Pena Cultural Center Collective - and Chilean exile/now East Bay-ista - Fernando (Fena) Torres. Fena presents Chilean (and beyond) music reflecting his perspective and experience as a musician, as an exile, and as a witness and survivor of the Pinochet regime in Chile. He also conducts an interview with fellow Chilean exile Hector Salgado about Hector's and his wife, Marianne Teleki's documentary: SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES to be aired this month on the VOCES Series on PBS, including on KQED Thursday, September 24th at 11pm.
